The words health living often elicit a response of disdain or fear. Many people think that it will take the element of fun out of their day to day lives making their lives less enjoyable. Often healthy eating is associated with bland, tasteless food  while emphasis on exercise means giving up the “luxury” of lazy living.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Healthy eating means that you can still eat foods you like but you would have to exercise moderation. Exercises though may appear like boring work in the beginning would bring more energy you haven’t felt in a long time.

There is no diabetes or blood pressure diet:
It is a myth that once diagnosed with diabetes you need to give up sugar , sweets or fruits. You do need to limit their quantity in consultation with a trained physician and dietician. Similarly when diagnosed with blood pressure you don’t have to give away salt in regular meals but would be advised to limit indulgences in papads, pickles, namkeens , potato chips etc.

There are exercise routines that can help:
It has been clinically proven that certain yog asanas, aerobic exercises help in controlling diabetes and in reducing blood pressure. However caution needs to be exercised by people if they have complications like back pain, prior illness or are advanced in age.
